Summary: VecTrax reaches version 1.10.7 and brings improvements on security and data coherence.
After a few weeks of intensive testing, VecTrax version 1.10.7 has been released, bringing lots of news and improvements on security and performance, as already presented in July 19th 2021’s Announcement.
Base infrastructure updates
VecTrax’s base infrastructure has been successfully updated, introducing better support for counties, faster searching and improved stability. This update allows us to support the most recent technologies in the web development field.
Performance and user experience improvements
As foretold, highlighting of empty sample groups has been implemented, which will allow to notice if a sample group has no samples registered (which is usually considered an anomaly).
The storage of scripts has been improved, further reducing the amount of data exchanged between the Progressive Web Application (PWA) and the server. This translates to higher performance and lower data usage, as well as speeding up surveillance operations in bad network conditions.
Sign in and password restore pages had their interface renewed, with lighter colors and improved contrast, this makes them usable even when direct sunlight is hitting the smartphone screen: a common situation when field work is done.
The report creation view now features a button to regenerate a report’s subject, in case this was edited by mistake.
Data integrity improvements
VecTrax now forbids evaluating treatments of a city using checks happened in another city, this will guarantee better logic integrity of the data stored.
In the rare occasion where the need of changing a check type arises after such check is completed, now VecTrax will check all the samplings to assure their validity. If problems arise, VecTrax will warn the user with a list of the samplings that became invalid.
